A new painting

This is one of the projects that I have been working on for the last few days. The piece below is completely drawn in and ready to have the canvas toned. The reference for these guys and the background marsh grass are from my trip to Pea Island last year on the Outer banks of North Carolina.


Well this being Friday, the first day of spring and absolutely beautiful outside I am going to call it quits for the day and go outside!

Dam Painting update

Work in progress... A quick update on the "Dam Painting."  I have finished drawing in the under drawing and believe that it is now ready to have some color added to it! Although I more than likely will not do that for a couple of more weeks, after school starts back in so that I can have larger blocks of time to paint. Until then you can see the finished under drawing below and I will get to work on the next under drawing for another painting, this one is of a beautiful roof line from Charleston , South Carolina.

RAS drawing nears completion

The RAS drawing draws near to completion. It will be wrapped up by Tuesday and I will post the finished drawing along with its title on Wednesday, October 31. I have gotten some good suggestions so far for the title, but keep them coming. Title suggestions so far: "Morning Coffee" "Coffee Break" "I Asked for Tea!"
