Getting close to the end…

Work in Progress…   The current painting has been on my easel for awhile now but it is finally coming to the end. To re-cap…   This painting is a commission from a collector who owns two Bengal cats and wanted to capture them forever in a painting. This painting was actually started over a year ago and has just recently been back on the easel after a stay at the Virginia Museum of Natural History for the Wildlife Art Revealed Exhibition where the painting represented a work in progress display. The background is now completely finished and the foreground decorative grass and the cats just need the second layer of color on the highlighted areas and the painting is finished!   What is a Bengal cat…? The Bengal is a medium to large domestic feline that originates from crossings of the small Asian Leopard Cat (ALC) to the domestic cat in an attempt to create a companion with an "exotic" look but a domestic temperament. After four to five generations of Bengal-to-B
