Evelyn and Peter Haller Distinguished Young Artist Award

This was a nice little surprise. I found out this morning that I have been awarded the Evelyn and Peter Haller Distinguished Young Artist Award from The Society of Animal Artists. Evelyn and Peter Haller were notable sculptors and longtime members of the Society. The Haller award is an award sponsored by the Hallers' friends Isabel and Sheldon Sklar.

Thank you to the Society. I will try my best to continue to be distinguished and I will certainly try to stay young.

Hey Rob, "Tag, You're It!"

As it was put to me, "Don’t know who started this tag game but here goes. This is a good thing. It helps spread the word about your blog, and you get some pretty entertaining information about other artists.
So here are the rules:

1. Put a link in your posting to the person who tagged you.
2. List 7 unusual things about yourself.
3. Tag 7 other bloggers at the end of your post and comment on their blogs to let them know.

Have a great painting day,
Steven

Excellent news, Rob! Caught the write-up in the RTD. I'm like, hey, I know him! Looking forward to seeing you at the Dec. 4 opening.
